Work is becoming a bit more stressful. With the weather warming up, things are starting to come into motion that we've been planning during the winter. I'll be so happy after Earth Day is all done with. Oi.
Goal: Move to Seattle.
How to get there: Hell if I know. Working on it.

The past couple of weeks sleeping has been more and more elusive. I cannot get to bed before 11PM, at the absolute earliest.
I would say more, but hey, its 10PM and I should be trying to get to sleep.
Peace.

Argh, I love the rush to get stuff done right before Christmas. It really conflicts with the whole relaxing aspect of this week. Also, it looks like the roads are becoming impassible again...oi.

Jessica and I managed to make it two days before really starting to feel cabin fever. Yesterday we finally cracked and got in contact with some friends of ours.
We were going to have a sleep over.
We packed up everything that we would need for an over night and got going on the roads. My car was plowing up snow because the clearance is still lower than the snow berms. Not once did I get stuck, which was a relief. It took us over an hour to get from Wellseley to Wandermere going down Division, but we were patient.
Good times were had by all once we got to the house up north. It felt really good to hang out and watch some light snowfall with some special egg nog in your hand, next to a nice fireplace. This morning we got up and went for a snowshoe/xc-skiing adventure in the nature preserve, which was great times.
In all, a great couple of days.

Last night, I got home from the worst commute I've ever had in Spokane (which is saying something). There was about 1 1/2 feet on the ground, which was quite impressive. Jessica and I worked to dig out the walk, and that was that.
This morning I woke up early to OMGWTF 2008. Over the course of the night, it snowed almost 2 more feet! I spent the early morning digging us out (again), as well as trying to figure out how my car was ever going to move. I had several meetings I needed to get to! My sentiment lasted up until I realized the snow was deeper in the street than the ground clearance of my car. Also, STA announced that buses were not running. After deftly canceling and rescheduling my meetings, I worked from home.
After 3PM, I decided I was tired of work and we went and got some food up at the store. Quite the journey, with snow up almost to my waist. Now I'm sore and tired. The end.

Woke up this morning to a little bit of the white stuff coming down from the sky. It hasn't stopped since then, which is cool. What is not cool (well, i guess it is, really), the -3 degree low temperature that I saw before heading out to work. GAH.
I had strange dreams about Oregon Trail last night.

I'm going back to using LJ for my blogging needs, I think.
So, here we go:
Had work today. Went to Olive Garden with the parents and grandmother, then came home and played Oregon Trail with Jessica. Hilarious times.

I have not written in this thing for some time.
I just turned in my graduation app, which means I'll soon be rid of this school.
Thus ends the crazy busy week I've been having. There is nothing like the feeling of completing a big long to-do list.
This is all good, as this morning I woke up with what feels like a light cold. Time to concentrate on that. Also, happy Easter to all those who are hip to that.
